Happens on a Sunday morning as part of the Sunday service.
Our aim in Children’s Church is for each child to truly belong to their group, to Church, and more importantly to Jesus. This is achieved through participation in fun activities, worship and Bible teaching. The purpose is for each child to have many positive memories that will last them a life time.
The first part of the Sunday morning service is for the whole family and includes a family slot and family worship. It will be announced from the front when the children will need to be taken to their groups. (Follow a leader in a green T– shirt.)
The groups are split as follows:
In Twinklers you’ll find a safe and nurturing environment for children under 2½. Parents take their children to the Twinklers room, behind the worship space when all the other children go out. Staffed by an experienced team we ensure that your children will enjoy church as much as you do.
Children aged 2½ to 4½ are welcome to come along for a session full of songs, games, Bible stories, play and craft.
All Stars is for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. When it is time for the children to leave the main service (after about 15-20 minutes), the All Stars and Champions all meet in the large hall, downstairs, for a time of worship together. After this, the All Stars group go to their own room for songs, activities, stories and craft.
A fun programme for children in school years 3 & 4. After a time of worship shared with the All Stars, Champions starts with small group time then moves into the main session. It includes bible stories, videos, drama, puzzles, games, creative prayer and much more.
Our school years 5 & 6 have their teaching session at our community centre, the Hub, a few minutes walk from Hale Rd. There is fun activities and discussion on relevant topics.
Children are walked to and from the Hub by their leaders.
We have a host of other activities for all the family.
