Be a disciple . . . make disciples
At ABC we recognise that all Christian vision is based on The Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). We are called to love the Lord with all our heart, soul mind and strength and love others as we love ourselves. Our faith also compels us to reach out beyond ourselves to make disciples – others who would follow Jesus; to reach out to the lost, the broken, the hurting and to bring them the love and care of Jesus.

For ABC this means that we organise our life and ministry around our worship of God and love for him. It also means that our love and care for each other are really important. In short the quality of our relationships and community life should mark us out as followers of Jesus.
At ABC we also have a strong emphasis on discipleship, for it is from the lived-out life of following Jesus that worship, mission, service and growth can truly develop. Everyone at ABC is therefore encouraged to find a place of belonging where they can grow as a disciple of Jesus.
At ABC we are working hard to bring mission and discipleship together through Missional Communities. We strongly believe discipleship and mission are two sides of the same coin. We therefore encourage groups to have a shared outward focus, to be intentionally missional. These communities are at the heart of who we are as a church and where we are going. In them we learn together, challenge and encourage each other, have fun together and engage in mission together through a common focus such as an interest, geographical area, school or work place. Missional communities are about family, friendship, faith and mission. Through them we hope to reach many people in Altrincham and beyond with the good news of Jesus.
