In compliance with the latest Government advice on social distancing and non-essential contact and in order to protect our church members, communities and the most vulnerable in our society we have made some changes to how we do things for the time being.
While we are unable to gather in person we are holding various on-line meetings which will be advertised here on the Church Web Site as well as on our Facebook page.
Note – Different meetings will have their own unique links and codes so please ensure you have the correct details for the meeting you are joining.
Details of our on-line services are available through the ABC Sundays page. These services will be recorded and made available on the Web Site and linked from our Facebook Page.
Exile and Homecoming
Our weekly Bible Study Exile and Homecoming explores the book of Jeremiah, full details and recordings of the studies are available here.
Details of how we are dealing with other regular activities are detailed below.
Small Goups & Pastoral Care
As always, we encourage everyone to care for each other within small groups. Andrew is linking in with our group leaders about ways of supporting one another while we can’t physically meet together. We encourage everyone to be connected, supporting one another with texts, phone calls, video calls, group message (via WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger etc). If you are not currently in a group, but you would like to be connected to one, please contact the church office.
Pastoral support remains available, but just in a different way.
None of our Sunday & midweek groups are meeting in their usual format for the foreseeable future (Toddlers, Children’s Church, Transformers, Youth programme).
Watch out though for weekly broadcasts of CCTV (Childrens Church Television) for competitions and activities to get involved in while we cannot meet.
Some of the older Childrens Groups are holding on-line sessions so drop Sarah an e-mail if you think you are missing out on these.
During this lockdown period we still have a packed schedule of youth activities.
Virtual Breakfast club (bring your own breakfast) straight after Sunday morning service (from 11:15 for half an hour),
Online Sunday evening meeting (from 7:30 for an hour)
Catchup sessions for the lads on Tuesday evenings
Soul sisters on Wednesday evenings.
On top of this the amazing Beth is running challenges for young people to take part in posted on our instagram ABC_youth_and a youth WhatsAppgroup that is constantly buzzing with activity.
For any information on how you can access these things and any other questions around youth work please don’t hesitate to contact Rob
Community Response Hub
ABC is working with the council and other local agencies to provide a Community Response Hub operating out of our Hub Building.
If you or someone you know is in need of help because of the current restriction on movement please contact the central contact number of 0300 330 9073 (option 4 for Trafford) and the call will be passed to the appropriate team to deal with this need.
At this point in time we have sufficient volunteers for the Community Response Hub but please check back if you would like to be involved and we will update the position here if we need more people.
We are unable to process gifts of food for this cause at the current time, if you wish to help others in this way please use the collection points in Supermarkets and these gifts will get into the chain of support for those in need.
If you would like us to pray for you or someone you know we have got an email address for our prayer team to receive requests for prayer.
This is going to be promoted in the front windows of Hale Rd.
If you wish to join our Prayer Team in praying for others email the team and they will add you to the group.
